This memorial commemorates the men of Guisborough who died in the First World War.

A J B Richardson. He is buried in Guisborough cemetery.

A M D G and in memory of A.J.B. Richardson 2nd Lieut 4th Btn Alexandra Princess of Wales Own. (Yorkshire Regt) who died at Newcastle, Jan. 4th 1915 This tablet is erected by the Officers, N.C.O.s & Men of D company of the above Battalion.

Arthur John Buchannan Richardson, who died in newcastle, and John Duncan Stubbs, who was killed in an action with a submarine in the North Sea.

To the glory of God and in loving memory of Lieut Arthur John Buchannan Richardson 4th Batt. A.P.W.O.(Yorkshire Regt.) who died at his post in Newcastle on Jan 4th 1915. Aged 19 years and of his cousin Midshipman John Duncan Stubbs R.N. of H.M.S. Aboukir who lost his life while attempting to save others on Sept 22nd 1914. Aged 15 years. This tablet is erected by their parents and relations whose fore-elders worshipped in this church.

Nathaniel Bewick who was killed during the battle of the Somme. He has no known grave, and is commemorated at Thiepval memorial.

In memory of Nathaniel Bewick, Lieutenant 8th Durham Light Infantry son of Charlton and Martha Bewick, of Guisborough who was killed in action at Le Sars in France 29 September 1916 aged 26.

Richard Godolphin Hume Chaloner. He was killed in an accident on 3rd April 1917, aged 33, while guarding German prisoners of war. He was the son of Richard Godolphin Walmesley, 1st Baron Gisborough. He is buried at Calais Southern cemetery.
