Schloss Cecilienhof

Cecilienhof is known for the Potsdam Conference that took place there in 1945 and where the Allies negotiated the distribution of the defeated Third Reich. The Potsdam agreement was finally signed by Truman (the successor to Roosevelt), Churchill and Stalin. The borders of Germany were redefined, an Allied Control Council was established in Berlin. At the Yalta Conference, Germany (and Berlin) was already divided into four occupation zones.
