War Memorial Andelnans

Next to the town hall of Andelnans is a monument for the victims of the First and Second World War. To the right of the monument is a memorial stone for the Moroccan fighters who fell on November 22, 1944. These fighters (Les Goumiers Marocains) were part of the free French army, which traveled north through Corsica and after landing in Marseille under the command of Marshal De Lattre de Tassignie. In the fierce battle for Belfort, in which many of the French army died, the fighters of Les Goumiers Marocains also paid their toll.
