B-25D-15 "Jelly Belly 2nd" 41-30516 crashed near Bostrem Bay on 9 September 1943. Other Allied bombers mistakenly bombed the area of the crash site, believing the smoke was from an enemy dump set on fire. All five crew members were killed.
