Stalin Line - Casemate No. 401 (402)

This casemate was part of the Kiev Fortified Area (Kievskiy Ukrepljenyj Rajon), which was constructed from 1931 to 1936 to protect Kiev. This defence line saw heavy fighting in 1941.

The casemate is still in perfect shape, which is unusual for fortifications of this defence sector. There is also an underground tunnel system which can be visited.
