Soviet War Cemetery Lisnyky

The memorial chapel was built in 1993 to commemorate the Soviet soldiers who fell for Kiev during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). A large number of soldiers were reburied at this chapel in 2009. There are currently 486 Soviet soldiers buried here in mass graves. 263 of them fell in 1941, the other 223 were killed in 1943.
