Glory Memorial Vladikavkaz

Architectural and sculpture complex in Vladikavkaz. Opened on May 4, 2005. Dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people over Nazi Germany in the great Patriotic war.

The main entrance is the triumphal arch. In the center of the memorial is a column topped by a statue of St. George. High reliefs are telling about the feats of the Ossetian people on the war fronts and in the defense of their Republic. The main panel of the memorial is made in the style of Florentine mosaic, used-granite, marble, bronze and brass. This is the only one memorial where I saw the monument of Joseph Stalin.
