Crash Site Avro Lancaster JA907

On Wednesday 20 October 1943 around 22:30 the Avro Lancaster bomber JA907 of the British 7th Pathfinder Squadron crashed on this location. 6 crew members were killed. Only Flight Sergeant Frank Lashford managed to leave the aircraft safely, but was injured.
