Holy Ground Battlefield Park
On this location the Battle of Holy Ground (Battle of Econochaca) took place on 23 December 1813, during the Creek War, coinciding with the War of 1812 (the Indians were armed by the British). One American and between 20 and 30 Red Stick Indians were killed in the battle.
