Field of Honour Landegem

The cemetery of Landegem contains a plot of honour with the graves of veterans, former resistance fighters, former prisoners of war and political prisoners of the First and the Second World War.

The plot contains 24 Belgian burials of the Second World War. These are soldiers who fell in the Battle of the Schipdonk Canal between 20 October and 2 November 1918. About 220 Belgian soldiers were killed in this battle.
