Soviet War Cemetary Merkiné

In the town of Merkiné there is a small Soviet war cemetery from WWII on a hill. A short stone staircase leads to the fenced area with a statue of a Soviet soldier in the center. The inscription is in Lithuanian and Russian "to the fallen Soviet soldiers 1941-1945".
There are also 10 plaques on the site with the names of the fallen.
