Telephone Connecting Point Westwall

This telephone connecting point (Festungsfestnetzanschluss) was part of the Westwall. These connecting points played an important role for the Germans during the Battle of Huertgen Forest, because artillery-observators could make connection and give enemy positions, despite the destruction of large parts of the communication-network. The connection point is located 2 meters above the track.
