Belgian War Graves Munte

The churchyard of Munte contains the grave of a military victim of the Second World War. It concerns LATEUR Romaan, fallen at Knesselare on 27 May 1940.

There is also the grave of GHYS Gerard, soldier V.V.E. 10th Wing at Kleine-Brogel, who died in the plane crash at Sake-Masisi (Congo) on 19 July 1960.
41 soldiers were killed in that crash, including 36 members of the VVE 10th Wing Air Force and the five crew members of the C-119 Flying Boxcar.
