Coastal Artillery Memorial

On the 13th of December the Russian Navy attacked Balchick but they were repulsed by a combined force of coast and field artillery, aviation and the navy.
2 pieces of coastal artillery called "Holy Trinity" were positioned on the east side of Balchik.
An artillery platoon with also 2 pieces were placed on the West side of Balchik.
Furthermore 3 waterplanes and the only Bulgarian submarine participated in the battle.

The plaque says:
GLORY TO THE COURAGEOUS DEFENDERS OF BALCHIK |
ON DECEMBER 13, 1916, A COASTAL BATTERY, COMMANDED BY CAPTAIN GEORGI RADKOV REPELLS THE RUSSIAN NAVY IN AN UNEQUAL BATTLE AND SAVED THE CITY FROM DESTRUCTION
