War Memorial Messines

The military victims of Messines are commemorated with a stone plaque in a flower bed.
On a triangular pediment is "Pax" in flat relief, underneath a helmet between two palm branches, underneath "The city of Messines to its children who died for the motherland".
The marble slab reads in carved, white painted letters, "1914-1918", with the names of the fallen soldiers underneath.
