Commemorative Plates Belgian Regiments Aarsele
The first memorial plaque on the right outer wall of the church in Aarsele commemorates the soldiers of the 1st Battalion 4th Light Infantry who were killed in the Battle of Aarsele on May 27 1940.
The second memorial plaque on the right outer wall of the church in Aarsele commemorates the soldiers of the 17th Line regiment who were killed in the Battle of the Lys in May 1940.
