War Memorial Traimont

On the monument are 3 photos in medallion of the 3 fallen.
There is also a text that has become almost illegible.
For that reason a smaller stone has been placed next to the original text of the monument.

"Tribute from Traimont
to three of his children
BRADFER Joseph
GEORGES Joseph
DENIS Maurice
fell here for the fatherland
on May 10, 1940 "

(Reproduction of the original text on the monument)

At the outbreak of the war they decided to join their unit Ardense Jagers in Martelange. Between Traimont and Witry they met German soldiers who forced them to return. Under guard they passed through the municipality, when they left Traimont they were trapped in a German minefield with all the consequences.
