Info board 75 Years Liberation WWII Geel Stelen

In 2019 it was 75 years ago that Belgium was Liberated by the Allied forces.
In this context, Tourism Province of Antwerp organized various activities related to the Liberation in collaboration with Liberation Route Europe. Together with the participating cities and municipalities, a themed brochure with local stories supplemented with photos was made. Information boards were placed at 48 historical locations, each with a local theme.

Here is the story of the heavy fighting around the Albert Canal during the Liberation of Geel by the 50th Nortumbrian Infantry Division.
