Memorial Resistance Fighters Dergneau

The war memorial at the entrance of the church in Dergneau commemorates two resistance fighters who died fighting the German occupier in the Second World War.
These are LAGNEAU Gilbert, Montroeul-au-Bois, August 26, 1944 and MOLLET Maurice, Wodecq, September 5, 1944. They were members of the Belgian Secret Army.
These two resistance fighters are also commemorated by plaques in the porch of the church.
