Mass Grave Italian Prisoners of War Heidefriedhof

The "Kleiner Ehrenhain" on the Heidefriedhof of Dresden contains the mass grave of an unknown number of Italian prisoners of war who perished near the end of the Second World War.

The text on the grave stone reads:

"QUI RIPOSANO//MILITARI//ITALIANI//HIER RUHEN//ITALIENISCHE//SOLDATEN"
