Stubbings House
Queen Wilhelmina lived in this manor house from October 1940 to flee the Blitz. She eventually moved out because of the poor state of the house and the smoke pollution coming from nearby Slough.
The Princess Irene Brigade was charged with guarding Stubbings House.
