Hokkaido Gokoku Shrine
The Hokkaido Gokoku Shrine is dedicated to the Hokkaido/Sakhalin war dead from the Boshin War and the Second World War. There are currently 63,141 'deities' enshrined here. The remains of Japanese soldiers who were found after the war in Guadalcanal were also reburied at this shrine.
