Bisbee Douglas International Airport (Douglas Army Airfield)

This airport started as a local airfield that was taken over by the AAF during World War II for training purposes. Specialized night training was given here to B-25 and B-26 airmen. The base also provided training for the AT-9 Jeep, AT-17 BobcT, and C-45 Expeditor training aircraft. After the war, the airfield was returned to the community.
