Belgian War Grave Grosage

The cemetery in Grosage contains the graves of a military victim of the Second World War. It concerns DEROUCK Sylva, Willemstad (N) 30 May 1940.

On May 30, 1940, many Belgian prisoners of war died in Willemstad (the Netherlands). The Rhine barge 'Rhenus 127' with over 1,200 prisoners of war sailed on a German magnetic mine and nearly 200 Belgians drowned.
