War Memorial Lavoir

War memorial at Lavoir to commemorate the military and the civilian victims of the First and the Second World War. The memorial also commemorates the veterans of the First World War.
First World War
Soldiers: THONET Fernand, Oostkerke 31 May 1915; TRUYENS Louis, Sint-Katelijne-Waver 29 September 1914
Second World War
Soldiers : DORMAL Paul, died in captivity in Sandbostel (D) on 2 April 1944.
Civilians: HELLAS Joseph, 15 May 1940; LEFLOT Louise, 17 May 1940; LEFLOT Theodule, 17 May 1940; SYLVESTRE Jean, resistance fighter died in the concentration camp in Neuengamme (G) on 18 January 1945
There is a plaque in memory of the members of the Secret Army - Refuge Marsouin who lost their lives in the Second World War.
