War Memorial Brandlecht

In 1934, the war memorial was opened by the municipalities of Brandlecht and Hestrup, which were independent until 1974. The monument consists of a cube block of Bentheimer sandstone. The symbol of an iron cross is attached to the cover plate. The names of the fallen and missing are written on the side walls, separately for each community: "See who died the hero's death for the fatherland from the community of Brandlecht / Hestrup". The names of the victims of World War II were added in the 1950s. Location: behind the ev. ref. Church in Nordhorn-Brandlecht
