Remembrance Monument Riflemen's Association Niederesch

On the Bergweg in Ochtrup, among a number of other monuments, there is a memorial monument on behalf of the Schuttersvereniging Niederesch (Schützenverein Niederesch).

In 2008, an extensive refurbishment of our monument on the mountain path took place. Next to the crucifixion group, a sculpture by the Münster sculptor Rolf Stahr adorns the monument. During a ceremony it was inaugurated on "Fronleichnam" or Solemnity / Sacrament Day during the Archers' Festival. Next to the sculpture is a plaque with the short inscription: In memory of our dead, Schützenverein Niederesch.
