Grave Achiel Van Walleghem Pittem

From October 1914 to the end of April 1918, Achiel Van Walleghem, (1879-1955) chaplain of the West Flemish village of Dikkebus, kept a detailed diary about the war events in his area. His thirteen notebooks are considered as the most important civilian war diaries from the Belgian region Westhoek.
