War Memorial Lünten

In the town of Lünten, municipality of Vreden, in the small center directly opposite the church, there is a monument in memory of those who fell in both world wars.

The inscription on the monument;
"They fought and fell for their people and their homeland."

Next to the monument there are 2 more plaques, with the names of the missing resident on the left and the names of 2 residents who died by aircraft bombs on the right. Given the size and location of the town, an obvious mistake or possibly a returning plane that dropped its bombs along the way. The reason remains unclear.
