Belgian War Grave Baronville

In the municipal cemetery is the grave of Marie REMY, one of the resistance fighters of Baronville. She was arrested for acts of sabotage against the Germans.

The commemorative plaque reads:

"Pious memory of our dear martyr,
political prisoner, victim of the atrocities
in German prisons, especially in
the Bergen-Belsen extermination camp.

MARIE REMY
Wife of Henri Louis
Hour-Havenne 30-1-1912 - Leuven 7-6-1945

She had the great honor
to give her life and her happiness to her country.
Pray for her"
