Anglo Boer War Memorial Uitenhage

The Boer War Memorial in Uitenhage was unveiled in 1904. At the foot of the monument are the names of the inhabitants of Uitenhage who died in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.
A three-year skirmish between English colonialists in South Africa and the Dutch descendants, the Boer War took place in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
