Cross Of Sacrifice Cemetery Masnuy-Saint-Pierre

On 24 September 1914, a company of 110 Belgian cyclists arrives from Antwerp. The mission of these "volunteers of death", as they are called, is to blow up the Brussels – Mons railway line.
During the fighting 24 Belgian soldiers were killed. In memory of these soldiers, a cross of sacrifice is erected in the cemetery of Masnuy-Saint-Pierre.
