Belgian War Graves Saint-Pierre

The municipal cemetery of Saint-Pierre still contains three graves of fallen from the two world wars:

Emile-Joseph GOBERT : born on May 18, 1892.
He was a soldier with the 10th Line and was killed in action in Diksmuide on 2 May 1916, aged 24.

Victor CROUQUET : born on May 27, 1911.
Soldier of the 4th Reg. Ardennes Hunters 2nd bat.4th comp.
On 26 May 1940 he was wounded during the Battle of the Lys at the Ponthoek in Olsene. As a result, he died in the hospital in Oeselgem on May 28, he was 29 years old.

Leon BELCHE : born on September 5, 1915.
Soldier of the 1st Reg. Ardennes Hunters 3rd bat.9th comp.
He was killed on 27 May 1940 in heavy fighting to hold the north side of Vinkt against German infantrymen. He was 25 years old.
