Belgian War Graves Saint-Médard

In the cemetery of Saint-Médard is the grave of Albert DEGIVE.
He was born on May 4, 1893.
He went to the First World War as a volunteer and was killed in action for the Fatherland on August 23, 1914.
During this period, the Battle of the Borders, the first confrontation between the Belgian and German troops, raged.

There is also a grave of a prisoner of war Emile MARMOTIN, born in 1920.
He was arrested and deported to Germany where he died as a prisoner in Königswartha in 1941, aged 21.
