Monument "The Miner"

Since October 31, 2008, next to St. Medardus Church, the statue of the "The Miner" has been placed.
It depicts a tunneller working on a tunnel under the German positions in Wijtschate-Mesen, a reference to the Mine Battle in 1917.

It is a realization of the Wijtska artist Jan Dieusart.
