Memorial 19th Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force

Plaque on the side wall of the church at Hyon, in memory of the soldiers of the 19th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, who died here on 10 November 1918 during the liberation of Hyon. The 19th lost 16 killed and 36 wounded.
Of the 5.112 men who had served in the First World War, 3.076 were casualties, including 737 killed.
