Memorial Chapel Breul

In Stadtlohn on the edge of the municipality a beautiful and modern monument in the form of a chapel. The rear wall is almost entirely occupied by a large "iron cross".

Inscriptions:

Under the cross;
"Built in 1969 in memory of our fallen and dead - Wessendorf-Breul rifle association 1964"

On the left side wall;
"You who pass here in peace, remember us.
Whatever we wanted, suffering overwhelms it;
Whatever we have suffered, fate condemns it;
Whatever we were, earth covers it;
Weep for the rain, let the sun shine on our graves;
Pierce grass, wind sing about our footsteps;
In your hearts, brothers, we still wrote German history."
