French War Graves Ségonzac Cemetary

In the little towm of Segonzac there are two French soldiers graves, for which their families wished that the bodies be buried in the family vaults:

- Cyprien GOURSAT: born the 10 of july 1891; Maréchal des Logis in the 12th Cuirassiers Regiment (heavy cavalry; 12ème régiment de Cuirassiers) died from his wounds the 24 of july 1916 in Beauvais's Temporay Hospital nr 1 (Hopital temporaire n°1 de Beauvais), following a fall from horseback while on duty.

- Gabriel Eugène BLONDEL: born the 3 of may 1882. Captain in the 412th Infantry Regiment (412ème Régiment d'Infanterie) when killed by shrapnel the 20th of august 1917 during the fightings on Hill 344 (Champneuville, Meuse).
This officer was Knight of the Legion d'Honneur and also holder of the 1914-1916 War Cross.
