Observationpost Diksmuideweg with Little Bertha

Narrow observation post that provided a view of the Ypres-Ijzer Canal and the German positions there. From here one could direct the artillery fire. The bunker has 2 floors and is hardly visible anymore.

At the top of the bunker is a German minenwerfer that was donated to the village of Boesinge as a war trophy in 1922.

On the front of the observation bunker is a memorial plaque that commemorates the victory on the German Army after the gas attack of 1915.
