Courtland Airport

Courtland Army Air Field was built at the start of WW2 and occupied by the AAF's Eastern Flying Training Command. The field was used for the 70,000 Pilot Training Program. Courtland AAF had one auxiliary field, Anniston Aux.Airfield. The AAF left the airfield after the war, after which the complex was given (back) to the state of Alabama in 1948.
