Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport was built in 1941 by the AAF as Williams Field, a training base for American and allied pilots. The base has played several roles during the war, but always in a training role. William's auxiliary airfields:
- Gilbert Airport
- Rittenhouse Airport
- Coolidge Airport
- Casa Grande Airport
-Goodyear Airport
