Rohwer Relocation Center Site

Rohwer Relocation Center Site was an internment camp for Americans with a Japanese background during World War II. It had a capacity for 10,000 internees. The first inmates arrived on September 18, 1942, when the camp was still being built. Eventually 9475 Americans would be imprisoned here.

Some remnants of the camp can still be visited.
