Birmingham General Hospital

Birmingham General Hospital was an army hospital built between the end of 1943 and the beginning of 1944. The complex had a small POW camp. The hospital was closed in 1950 and largely demolished. Only the hospital chapel, swimming pool and old gymnasium survived. Today Mulholland Middle School stands here.
