Hoff General Hospital

Hoff General Hospital was built by the Army in 1941. It was turned over to the Federal Public Housing Authority in November 1945. The complex stood along Hollister Avenue (now State Street), near the northwest city limit of Santa Barbara, in Goleta. Capt. Hagen, the only American soldier who sustained injuries as a result of enemy action in the United States (during WW2), was treated here. He spend 50 days here.

The old administrative building 3227 State St) and the old water tank (3045-3003 Las Positas Rd) are still standing here.
