Tulare Assembly Center

Tulare Assembly Center was a transit camp for ethnic Japanese. The camp was between April 20 and September 4, 1942. At its peak, Tulare Assembly Center held 4978 civilians. It was handed over to the VII Army Corps on September 15, 1942. A POW camp for 245 POWs was later opened here.
