Resistance heroes monument

In 1995, the resistance hero monument was placed in the park on the corner of Verzetsheldenlaan and Henk van den Broeklaan.
The bronze monument is placed on a marble base. It was made by Joep Coppens. It depicts a shield with arms reaching up in vain.

The monument was erected on May 4, 1995 by mayor dr. R.W. Welch revealed. The inscription is 'my shield and confidence'. This sentence comes from the Wilhelmus.

Every year, the Village Council of Acht organizes the commemoration of the dead at this monument.
