Memorial Execution Jews

Between 1,200 and 1,500 Jews were executed at this site on 13 July 1942 by men of the German 101st reserve police battalion led by Major Wilhelm Trapp. Today, there is a monument erected in 1974 and the location of the mass graves are still visible. The massacre was described, among others, by Christopher Browning in his book 'Ordinary Men'.
