Remembrance Trees HMS Heron

In this lane twelve trees were plantted with each one having a stone block and a nameplate.
The inscription says:
THESE TREES WERE PLANTED BY/ MRS. BETTY WILLIAMS/ ON BEHALF OF THE CAPTAIN/ OFFICERS AND SHIP'S COMPANY/ OF h.m.s. HERON/ ON THE 23rd FEBRUARY 1983/ AS A LIVING MEMORIAL FOR/ (Names)/ WHO WERE OF THEIR SHIPS COMPANY/ AND DIED IN THE/ SOUTH ATLANTIC/ DURING THE/ FALKLANDS CAMPAIGN/ BETWEEN 1st APRIL AND 14th JUNE 1982.

POACM Kevin "Ben" Casey. Died 23 April 1982 when the Seaking helicopter, of 846 NAS aboard HMS Hermes, he was crewing crashed into the South Atlantic. His body was never recovered. First casualty of the Falklands campaign.
Lt Nick Taylor RN. Sea Harrier pilot of 800 NAS shot down over Goose Green 4th May 1982. Buried near the crash site with full military honours. First combat casualty of the campaign.
