This old bridge pier on the Rhine promenade in Wesel was part of the railway bridge over the Rhine near Wesel.

The railway bridge was part of the "German line" which broke through in 1940 at Mill, part of the Peelstelling.

This railway bridge was blown up on 10-03-1945 after the retreat of the German troops.
