Cemetery Italian POW-camp Rushworth

This memorial-complex contains several memorials and a ossuary, where a number of Italian prisoners-of-war are buried. It is located next to Murchison cemetery.

The Italian POWs of camp Rushworth worked on the local farms under minimal surveillance, but a number died. After World war II, many of the Italians stayed in Australia.
